Jack Thomson, a local historical consultant who’s expertise has benefited many restoration projects, is an authority on the subject of the Civil War. Author of the book entitled, "Charleston at War ", Thomson compares the way Charleston, SC was during the Civil War and how it is now through the presentation of Civil War images he has carefully collected and studied for over fourteen years.

Jack served in the armed forces and was assigned to Germany as a motion picture photographer. This enabled him to develop his keen eye for battlefield photography and share his unique knowledge with you!

Additionally, a Civil War re-enactor since the 1960's, Jack's ability to live in past times has rewarded him with several movie roles.
